Frequently asked questions
- Who is Praxadem for?
- After-school homework-support academies, tutoring centres and private tutoring businesses — whether they run one service or both.
- Do I need to install an app from an app store?
- No. Praxadem runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, and can be installed to the home screen. There is no app-store app.
- Does it work offline?
- No. Praxadem needs an internet connection to read or save anything. When the connection drops, it tells you, rather than showing work as saved when it was not.
- Which languages does it support?
- English, Arabic and French, with a full right-to-left layout in Arabic.
- Does Praxadem send SMS or email notifications?
- No. Families read their child’s day, summaries and invoices in the family portal. Staff can copy or share a published summary or an activation link by hand — for example over WhatsApp.
- Can parents pay online?
- No. Praxadem records payments made to the academy and issues a receipt for each one; families see their invoices, payments and receipts in the portal. It does not process card payments.
- Can parents sign up by themselves?
- No. The academy gives each family a login and shares a single-use activation link. The parent confirms their phone number and chooses their own password.
- How do staff and families sign in?
- With their phone number and a password.
- Does it support more than one branch?
- Yes. An academy can have several branches, with closures by branch and a Today board for one branch or all of them.
- Which currencies are supported?
- Today, US dollars and Lebanese pounds. Each amount keeps its own currency, and amounts in different currencies are never added together.
- Can other academies see our data?
- No. Each academy’s data is kept separate in the database itself. See Security & Trust.
- How much does it cost?
- Pricing is agreed with each academy. Book a walkthrough and we’ll talk it through.
